At the Budapest Sziget Festival that has mustered up the most world stars of the previous years, the Rómer Flóris Art and Historical Museum appeared as the only provincial museum, and took the message: Győr would like to be the European Capital of Culture in 2023.
Usually the essence of such messages is that it should reach as many people as possible, and the crew of the Rómer museum is also working on this: the mostly foreign audience of the festival should get to know that our city is awaiting them in 2023 and of course any time.
The paper boat appeared as the main element on the stand of Győr: the interested people could fold a paper hat, and wearing it on their head they could continue the party. In the installation of the small boat they could prepare photos at the map of Europe, where the participants of the festival could mark where they came from.
Besides taking photos they also had the opportunity to prepare bags: they could take home the design product of Réka Széll, designer of Győr.
Kata Borsa, one of our bid writers told us that they are also inviting Hungarian stars to the stand in order to popularize the small boat and the important message: Győr is one of the greatest Hungarian cities and if the professional jury decides so in the final round in December, it will bear the ECC-title in 2023 with decorum.
